I painted this at Bliss St Station in Queens during sunset. The light over the tracks felt calm, almost surreal, it made me feel blissful, and I wanted to turn that feeling into something people could live with.
As someone known for painting the NYC subway, this piece feels especially personal. It reflects the everyday beauty Iāve always been drawn to in these spaces. This is also my first print release in oil, a medium Iāve loved since I was young, so it means a lot to me and feels like a return to my roots.
These prints are 11 x 17 inches, slightly smaller than my usual releases, making them more accessible while still holding the full atmosphere of the original.
